Our Story

Pre-1976
In the early 1970s, WB began by providing construction services to plantations and oil mills, establishing its first asphalt plant in Masai, Johor one of the only few in Ulu Choh at the time. This planted WB's core philosophy: self-reliance and nurturing in-house expertise.
The Beginning
WB was officially incorporated, professionalising its construction services with early projects including Taman Sentosa for Daiman Development — establishing WB Land's identity as a dependable, quality-driven contractor and laying the groundwork for Johor's urban and industrial growth.
Gaining Maturity
Johor Bahru's commercialisation boom saw WB emerge as a key contractor for major residential and commercial developments. Consistent growth led to the establishment of its first quarry plant at Puteri Wangsa in 1996, ensuring a stable supply of aggregate for its expanding operations.
Expanding Horizons
Driven by engineering mastery, WB diversified into large-scale township infrastructure — spearheading foundational work for Bukit Indah and Puteri Wangsa, two of Johor's fastest-growing townships, setting new standards of quality and reliability in southern Malaysia.
The Rise Of WB
WB undertook a RM16 million design-and-build project to upgrade Johor Port (2004), then partnered with WCT Bhd on AEON Bukit Indah (2007), followed by an RM87 million contract building 70km of greenfield roads hosting landmark projects including Legoland and Afiniti by Temasek (2009) cementing WB as a trusted partner for landmark developments.
Building Beyond Borders
WB demonstrated mastery in complex engineering by overcoming the challenges of crossing the North-South Expressway, KTM Railroad, and Senai-Desaru Expressway to link Impian Emas to Senai Airport (2011). In 2013, WB Land officially expanded into property development with the launch of Frontier Industrial Park — offering an integrated suite of design, construction, and project management under one roof.

CAPABILITY IN COMPLEX PROJECTS
Overcoming complication of crossing North-South Expressway, KTM Railroad and Senai-Desaru Expressway and more, WB played in a key role in providing better linkage from Impian Emas to Senai Airport. This road were built for Lee Rubber to provide the main infrastructure for their future development.
